Princeton Health is seeking a Part Time, Nights,?Mental Health Associate for Princeton Medical Center, Emergency Department.

Schedule: ?The schedule?for this position will be 11:00 pm to 7:30 am,?every Saturday and Sunday.

Position Summary:?The Mental Health Associate will assist with the care and monitoring of behavioral health patients in the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro Emergency Department.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu by enforcing unit rules, regulations and limits.? Assists in monitoring and maintaining the environmental standards for the physical environment.

  • Performs behavioral observations, completes unit rounds, checks and monitors patients as assigned.

  • Assists in emergencies and codes according to established protocols.

  • Offers support and guidance to patients as needed.

  • Provides orientation to unit for new patients, including completing patient searches at admission.

  • Identifies significant changes in patients' clinical status and communicates to appropriate member(s) of the treatment team.??

- Bachelor?s Degree a Social Science or related specialization

- Has a basic knowledge base of psychiatry, chemical dependency, and mental health

- Previous experience with psychiatric population

- Possesses exemplary assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

- Must be able to function well in a team environment

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required; professionalism essential

- Customer service orientation, a teamwork approach, flexibility, organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Previous experience in behavioral health

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
