International Benefits Lead

This position is responsible for the administration and compliance of global employee benefits, US and Puerto Rico 401(k) plans and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). They manage numerous vendors in ensuring the effective execution of end to end transactions. It's critical that this position understand and monitor benefits plan activities and effectively communicate results to the Global Leader, Benefits and assist them in developing sound benefits strategies.
This role oversees benefits operations globally and requires strong collaboration with local HR community and Finance. Additionally, this position ensures operational efficiencies across systems and key business processes, and develops, recommends and implements employee benefit policies and plan design of existing and new plans. Supports acquisition harmonization efforts and is a focal point in managing and leading the implementation of global benefits M&A.

Assist Global Leader, Benefits in the development of strategy and design.
Manage the global coordination of all programs to ensure vendor consolidation and alignment with the Company's strategies, local practices and legal requirements.
Manage the administration of the Company's US and Puerto Rico 401(k) plans and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) and any other benefits program deemed appropriate as part of our total rewards strategy.
Manage insurance providers, third-party administrators, and all other service providers for benefits administration activities. Manage vendors to ensure excellent service and high value to colleagues and the company. Ensure that service level agreements and performance guarantees are established and monitored quarterly. Take corrective action as necessary.
Manage the day to day implementation and administration of the Firm's global multinational pooling strategy.
Ensure timely enrollment and funding of US and PR 401(k) and ESPP plans.
Manage the activities associated with vendor selection, renewal of plans, plan changes, system changes and communications and ensure the successful coordination of all parties involved.
Create well defined metrics to measure the success of the benefit programs. Review and analyze the performance delivered by the Company's current programs, recommend and implement improvements to existing programs, and develop new programs as appropriate. Promote programs that prove to be of high value to associates and the company and improve or eliminate low value programs.
Assist Global Leader, Benefits in the preparation of benefits budget and track actual expenses against budget and report variances.
Manage the integration of wellness initiatives, where applicable, from various vendors into cohesive programs and promote the programs.
Develop, plan, facilitate and manage the implementation, administration and communication of benefit programs ensuring consistent information and processes across the company.
Ensure company compliance with provisions of Employee Retirement Income Security Act, Family Medical Leave Act, the Affordable Care Act and other applicable global laws and regulations. Oversee preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, insurance commissioners, and other regulatory agencies. Review and analyze changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits, and report necessary or suggested changes to management. Coordinate company benefits with government-sponsored programs. Oversee preparation of annual 5500 financial statements.
Ensure that plan documents, SPDs, employee handbooks and other communications are timely updated. Also, ensure that the distribution of required employee notices, summary plan documents and communications are timely distributed.
Oversee claim and premium billing process.
Complete regular country specific benchmarking activities to ensure the Company's benefit programs are competitive and appropriate based on local practices.
Provide oversight and support to team and monitor individual work. Provide feedback to Global Leader, Benefits for team development opportunities and performance appraisals feedback. Participate in team hiring decisions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or health related field preferred
Minimum of seven years of benefits administration, plan management and design strategy global experience
Prior experience in managing external vendors
Ability to analyze claims data and spot trends
Current knowledge of Benefits and Human Resource global laws and applicable local guidelines
Great communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills, empathetic, positive and an attentive listener and a strong customer service oriented demeanor
Must be highly organized, analytical, action and detail oriented along with ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
Must have ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Merger and acquisition experience a plus
General knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding plan requirement
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office suite applications

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
