Monitor medical literature and guidelines for company and relevant competitor data to develop virology content for standard/custom responses, training, content platforms, and other deliverables while maintaining scientific accuracy and complying with applicable laws, regulations, guidance, and BMS policies and procedures.
Serve as a virology team resource for both internal and external customers.
Lead and coordinate a team of medical writers and managers in cross functional initiatives such as quality check, copy review, etc, as appropriate.
Key
Responsibilities:
Lead team of medical writers and managers in the development of medical content per clinical development program, publications, data presentations, congress activity, medical information inquiry trends, global communication platform, product safety reports and treatment landscapeConduct cross-functional stakeholder meetings to identify pertinent data and solicit functional expertise when needed to ensure medical content is developed with a high degree of medical integrity, accuracy and clinical relevanceManage interactions with Medical Writers, Market-level Medical Information leads and WW Medical Virology team in the development of medical content Develop Medical Contact Center training on disease state, product overview and relevant market events to ensure Contact Center's readiness to address customer inquiriesEnsure consistent communications with cross-functional teams on a worldwide level to produce accurate messaging and communication of medical information and key messagesCoordinate the global standardization of Medical content to streamline creation, distribution, and creation of content while eliminating redundancies in resource utilization and deliverables Qualifications PharmD, MD, PhD preferred with minimum of 5-7 years experience in pharmaceutical industryRelevant residency/fellowship preferredVirology experience preferredStrong scientific/medical writing skills evidenced by good quality writing in pharmaceutical regulatory documentation and/or publications in peer-reviewed journalsStrong verbal communication skills evidenced by experience in responding to unsolicited inquiries from health care professionals by collecting, analyzing, interpreting and providing specific clinical/scientific data that is requestor-focusedExposure to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry with good understanding of global pharmaceutical drug development requirements for submission, basic knowledge of document publishing process, and navigating data on file documents, clinical study reports, investigator brochures, publications, congress materials, etc.
