Are you ready to realize your potential?The PositionThe head of Legal Operations & Projects will drive the development, implementation, operation, and management of the company's legal operations function and will lead strategic legal projects.
The primary responsibility of the role is developing, implementing, and enhancing a Legal Operations Program and leading strategic legal projects.
RelationshipsThis position reports to the Head of Legal Strategy & Operations.
The position works in close collaboration with Legal Department, IT, HR, Ethics & Compliance, and other stakeholders from across NNI.
The role also partners closely with legal and related functions across Novo Nordisk globally.
The role is a people manager, responsible for direct reports and supervising work performed by Novo Nordisk colleagues.
The role also manages external relationships with vendors specific to Legal Operations and legal projects.
Essential FunctionsAdvance the company s goals of risk mitigation, cost containment and transparency, and increased operational efficiency by recommending, designing, and driving the adoption of an effective Legal Operations programIdentify, prioritize, oversee, and manage day-to-day operations of strategic legal projectsParticipate in various committees and working groups related to Legal Operations and project workDrive development, enhancement, and management of external supplier management program, including (i) budget and spend management processes; (ii) operational aspects of relationship meetings with strategic providers; and (iii) data analytics and dashboarding to track key performance indicatorsPartner with other key stakeholders in Novo Nordisk s broader legal operations function, including those responsible for internal resource management, knowledge management, strategic oversight of the Legal department s budget, and contracting operationsDrive collaboration with key stakeholders in developing and implementing the Legal Operations programMaintain awareness of emerging technological solutions, trends, and developments; make recommendations and establish business cases concerning adoption of new technologies and streamlining business processes; and manage implementation and go-forward support of solutions to ensure operational excellenceDevelop / maintain industry relationships and actively participate in relevant industry groups to facilitate benchmarking and ensure strong subject matter knowledge baseMeasure and monitor Legal Operations and other legal initiatives to ensure stated goals are achieved and provide meaningful reporting for leadership and key stakeholdersParticipate in ongoing review and assessment of the Legal Operations function to ensure continuous process improvementModify and implement policies and processes where required to ensure ongoing efficiencyPhysical Requirements0-10% overnight travel required.
Development of PeopleEnsure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process.
Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility.
Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.
QualificationsBachelor Degree required.
Advanced Degree or other relevant coursework preferredAt least 10 years relevant industry experience required, including project management experiencePrior in-house experience in the life sciences industry strongly preferredPeople management experience strongly preferredAbility to quickly build business acumen and relationships required to develop the Legal Operations function and collaborate effectively with key stakeholdersDemonstrated experience taking a thoughtful approach to change management in an evolving and dynamic environmentExperience implementing value-based billing and alternative fee arrangements, including flat / fixed fee models strongly preferredExperience optimizing resource models (insourcing / outsourcing / offshoring) and leveraging alternative legal service providersExperience with legal technology, business intelligence / dashboarding / data analytics tools strongly preferredExperience designing, documenting, and executing processes and procedures in multi-national, highly-regulated industry strongly preferredSelf-motivated and able to set strategy, balance competing priorities, and work both independently and in a team environmentWe commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
