A typical week for a Pest Control Technician includes:
Problem-solving pest issues Use of pest control-related equipment (including ladders) Documenting corrective actions and pesticide usage Following protocols, procedures, and laws Maintaining a service vehicle Explaining technical information in a clear and concise manner Engaging with customers and co-workers Showing customers the benefits of current and future services Using creative efforts to add new commercial and residential customers When you start your career with Pest iD as a Pest Control Technician, the starting hourly wage ranges from $20 to $26 per hour.
All those with good organizational and customer service skills are encouraged to apply.
You don't need any experience at all.
A Pest Control Technician can also earn sales commissions and overtime.
FIRST-YEAR EARNINGS for a Pest Control Technician is $45k to $65k.
We offer health insurance, 5 paid sick days plus 5 personal days, and a flexible work schedule.
Once training is completed, we also provide a service vehicle and gas card (which can be taken home).
Initial paid training lasts 60-90 days (based on experience and performance), and ongoing training is free.
The typical work schedule for a Pest Control Technician is 7:
30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, or whenever the work is finished.
You can also choose your work schedule -- four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days.
