As a Payments Risk Operations manager, you'll be fully responsible for leading a team of experienced Payments Risk analysts to mitigate payments fraud risk without negatively impacting core metrics and the broader customer experience. You will work with other leaders within Payments Risk, Product, and internal stakeholders on Customer Experience to achieve a seamless escalation and resolution process as you scale the team in a thoughtful, effective way. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Payments Risk Operations and will be based remotely in the United States. You'll develop our strategy, frameworks, and manage complex payment and fraud risks across a global landscape, in a dynamic digital asset market environment. What you'll be doing (ie. job duties):
Build and manage a team of Payment Risk analyst professionals, and ensure their ongoing growth and development Develop strategies and processes to support the timely and accurate investigation of escalated accounts for fraud risk in a manner that balances fraud loss, cost of execution, and customer experience Create and iterate upon operational dashboards to make it easy to track and derive insights on analyst performance, decision accuracy, and escalation volume Develop trend reports and key indicators to share with Payments Risk leadership and internal stakeholders Identify and prioritize the highest impact projects to systematically improve resolution time and analyst tooling, while adapting to continually changing trends Own the specific methodology to comply with applicable fraud management policies Oversee ad hoc investigations and act as a decision maker What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

years relevant work experience mitigating payments fraud risk at a financial services, technology or e-commerce company, with at least 2 years of direct management experience Strong understanding of online payments systems and associated chargeback, dispute and return processes, as well as fraud detection and mitigation tools. Skilled at evaluating tradeoffs between risk reduction and enabling business growth and customer experience Demonstrated experience creating processes, conducting and building out training programs, and scaling teams Great people manager Excellent written and spoken communicator Ability to problem-solve and translate complex risk topics into concrete tasks Ability to remain highly organized in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Fluency in spoken and written English Nice to haves:
Proficient with SQL and data visualization tools
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Risk & Quantitative AnalysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
